Live Broadcast Dedicated to the International Day of Delegates

You may know that the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 73/286 «International Delegate Day» by consensus on April 2nd, 2019. The Resolution was initiated by the Republic of Belarus. The Resolution declared April 25th as the International Day of Delegates, coinciding with the start of the San Francisco Conference (April 25th, 1945), which resulted in the creation of the UN and the signing of the UN Charter. The document is intended to underline the contribution of the Delegates to the creation and functioning of the UN. The Resolution was co-sponsored by more than 20 states (Antigua and Barbuda, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Cuba, India, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Tajikistan, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, South Sudan, Syria, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Viet Nam, Zimbabwe).

To contribute to the information campaign on the occasion of the first International Delegate Day, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the San Francisco Conference, an online broadcast of the opening of the exhibition at the National Historical Museum of Belarus, including a virtual tour of it, will be organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus in cooperation with the UN Mission in Belarus.
The opening ceremony will include speeches by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the UN Permanent Coordinator in Minsk (from the UN Office) and the Director of the National Historical Museum of Belarus.
